Relaxing Floors
Fractals are the building block of many of nature’s patterns and have been scientifically proven to reduce stress and so provide benefits to physical health. This visual language is the basis for Relaxing Floors, a modular system designed by 13&9 in collaboration with Fractals Research and Mohawk Group. This collection is the culmination of art, science and human-centered design based on fractal patterns; utilizing fractals to give our eyes a break from the digital world and deliver the essence of nature to the contract built environment.
Social Canvas
The Social Canvas collection speaks to the triumph of the human spirit. This collection is a result of a collaboration with ArtLifting, using the work of artist Charlie French as a point of departure.
Data Tide
The convergence of freshwater and saltwater creates a unique ecosystem where salt marshes, mangroves, and sea grasses sequester Blue Carbon, support biodiversity, and protect coastal areas from erosion. Data Tide’s patterning is the graphic interpretation of the positive ecological influence of this Blue Carbon capture, translated visually through data sets.
Smart City
Mohawk Group believes design is a journey, and our next stop is Smart City—a Living Product Certified carpet plank system inspired by some of the world’s most connected places. Urban Model offers an intricate base texture presented in three distinctive hues and contrast levels, while Urban Mobility layers a metropolitan subway line pattern in six sophisticated color options.
